eating alone :
focusing on our senses

When we eat alone we focus more on our senses: the taste of the food, and the rituals of eating.

In The Dark | Eating while blindfolded
When we eat without our eyes, we struggle to understand where our body is in space. We become more aware of smell and textures.

Eat Big | Eating with gigantic chopsticks.
When we eat with oversized cutlery, we are more aware of our proprioception, where are hands and body are in space.

Eating Cyclograms
After the playful sensory experiences, it is hard to see eating as just a routine behavior. It has become a systematic act, full of meaning that I am curious to explore. I tracked individual “eating signatures” that I have translated into “dynamic eating drawing”.
