ConnectEAT

ConnectEAT is a series of experiments studying eating and “remote togetherness” using Skype and Facetime.

The common thread of the four meals was that the act of eating food, even on screen, brings out conversation about food: all of the conversations started with the food people were eating and moved on, eventually circling back to food.

The food is the medium that connects us.

And during this series of meals I was able to feel less alone, and more connected! This was an excuse to strengthen some bonds with family and friends. Feeling connected isn’t limited to being in the same physical space, but can mean sharing a common experience at the same time, connected from any device.
